I have worked as a psychotherapist with children, teens, and adults since 1995. I have a master's degree in social work from Boston University and became licensed as a clinical social worker in California in 2000. I am also certified as a mediator and parent educator, and develop and lead workshops for teachers, case managers, and parents.
Originally trained in psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral therapy, I later completed training in Bowen Family Systems Theory. My approach to therapy draws upon these experiences as well as the fields of Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction, Interpersonal Neurobiology, and Resiliency Theory. Working with strengths and developing strong self-reflective skills are central to my practice.
In addition to my psychotherapy practice, I am a program director for the Cleo Eulau Center, a local non-profit that promotes the social and emotional well-being of students by providing school-based consultation and professional development to educators.
Outside of work, I enjoy hiking, yoga, painting, and spending time with my family.
